The Academy has worked cooperatively with various bodies to ensure that only the most experienced professionals are included in our member roster. Note though that there are no formal certification requirements for the private practice of mediation or arbitration in Iowa.

Iowa Association of Mediators

The Iowa Association of Mediators was established in the early 1990s, and promotes the understanding and practice of mediation throughout the state. IAM offers various training courses to help mediators to further their skills.
